Rob's Environmental Footprint
A few years ago, Rob started pulling debris from the Ottawa/Outaouais River in an attempt to clear away potentially dangerous chunks of driftwood and garbage spotted floating by during spring thaw.
Initially, the wood was used for firewood but eventually, the more interesting pieces became yard
ornaments that decorated the flower garden and rivers edge for passersby to enjoy.
Other interesting pieces were turned into swings, well skirts,
and hangers for feeders and bird houses.
Then, Rob took apart old furniture and used the switches,
wires, glass and pieces of driftwood to create
standing lamps, table lamps and even coffee tables
using recyled glass.
Soon, Rob&Wood was born on the concept to recycle and
reuse while cleaning up the environment, protecting
mother earth and creating unique pieces of driftwood art.
